Responsive Chat App UI – Image-Based Design

This project was part of a frontend assignment where I was provided only a **static image** of a chat application design (no Figma file). I implemented a responsive chat UI using **Next.js** and **Tailwind CSS** that closely matches the provided design. Key UI features: • A fixed top navbar that stays visible while scrolling • A sidebar that displays contacts and smoothly collapses on mobile • On clicking a contact, the respective conversation appears in the chat window • Dummy chat functionality using predefined/random bot replies • Typing animation and message status indicators (Sent, Received) • Smooth chat message transitions and responsive layout using media queries This project highlights my frontend development skills and my ability to convert a visual reference (image only) into a responsive and functional UI.
